The GCAN-208-S series module from Shenyang Guangcheng Technology Co., Ltd. is an industrial grade CAN bus to fiber converter that integrates one standard fiber optic interface (SC, ST, FC, single-mode, multi-mode, single core, dual core optional) and one standard CAN bus interface.
GCAN-208-S系列模块是专门为了消防主机联网设计的,可以将CAN总线数据转换成光信号通过光纤传输。通过成对使用的GCAN-208-SA和GCAN-208-SB模块,用户可以轻松的延长CAN总线的通信距离,最远可达13公里(可通过增加中继的方式延长通讯距离)。
The GCAN-208-S series module is specifically designed for the networking of fire control hosts, and can convert CAN bus data into optical signals for transmission through optical fibers. By using the GCAN-208-SA and GCAN-208-SB modules in pairs, users can easily extend the communication distance of the CAN bus, up to 13 kilometers (which can be extended by adding relays).
GCAN-208-S系列模块支持点对点的连接方式,无需任何设置即可直接通信,通信波特率5Kbps~500Kbps,收到接入设备数据包按位直接转发,没有任何缓存,只是在物理层转换,电转光,光转电。
The GCAN-208-S series module supports point-to-point connection, allowing for direct communication without any settings. The communication baud rate ranges from 5Kbps to 500Kbps, and data packets received from access devices are forwarded bit by bit without any caching. It only performs physical layer conversion, electrical to optical, and optical to electrical conversion.
模块可以防止总线受到电磁干扰、地环干扰、雷击等对总线和设备造成的损坏。是工业总线改造、长距离通信、隔离总线干扰的关键性工具。模块的CAN总线接口已集成隔离保护模块,使其避免由于瞬间的过压过流而对模块造成损坏,同时该模块具有体积小巧、即插即用等特点,也是现有系统集成的最佳选择。
Modules can prevent damage to the bus and equipment caused by electromagnetic interference, ground loop interference, lightning strikes, etc. It is a key tool for industrial bus transformation, long-distance communication, and isolation of bus interference. The CAN bus interface of the module has integrated an isolation protection module to prevent damage to the module caused by instantaneous overvoltage and overcurrent. At the same time, this module has the characteristics of small size, plug and play, and is also the best choice for existing system integration.

光纤替代了导线,因此光纤总长度(第一台设备到最后一台设备之间的光纤,或者说全部光纤加起来)是13公里,超过13公里需要添加CAN中继器。(13公里是按照CAN波特率5K计算的,大于5K就不到13公里)
Fiber optic replaces wires, so the total length of fiber optic (the fiber optic between the first and last devices, or the sum of all fibers) is 13 kilometers. If it exceeds 13 kilometers, a CAN repeater needs to be added. (13 kilometers is calculated based on the CAN baud rate of 5K, and if it is greater than 5K, it will be less than 13 kilometers)
